What is the best company for modular homes?
26.February, 2009
I've heard of Palm Harbor, Jim Walter, and Ex-something? We're looking at price range of 80k-130k and we live in south Louisiana, which company would be the best choice??? THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!
I used to live in a Palm Harbor home and it was really nice!! It didn't even feel like a modular home, it had better features.

I have a Patriot modular, they are supposed to be good. I have had no problems with the home, I did have to have the carpet replaced, the warranty was with Shaw and they weren't being to helpful, but patriot did help by encouraging them to honor their warranty and with their help Shaw finally came through.
I have heard Redman is good for manufactured homes, they may also have good modular homes.
As far as $$$ my home was about 100K, but I have a walk out basement. garage, decking grading etc. My total construction was about 165K.
As far as best?? Each will have different trim levels as far as quality when I did my research Patriot came up often for good quality.
